My client is a reputable international general contractor, originally founded in 1962, with a growing presence in the Washington, DC area. Their local office, focuses on delivering high-quality public-sector projects including new construction and renovations of police stations, firehouses, community centers, and K-12 schools. With a lean and experienced team of seven professionals in DC, including estimating and administration staff, my client values collaboration, technical excellence, and long-term employee growth. They have recently been awarded a large-scale project in Loudoun and Fairfax Counties and are looking to grow their team with dedicated professionals who take pride in their work.
Job Description
My client is seeking a Project Manager with strong experience overseeing commercial or municipal construction projects in the $20M+ range. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of the construction lifecycle, including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Collaborate with internal estimating and administrative teams Oversee subcontractor performance and manage field coordination Maintain project budgets and schedules Ensure all work is completed to client and regulatory specifications Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and municipalities MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction Strong background in municipal, K-12, or public-sector projects preferred Proven track record of delivering $20M+ projects successfully Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Skilled in adapting to changing project requirements and conditions What's on Offer
