Base pay range $160,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Redpath Partners Position Overview: We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Project Director to lead capital project execution for hotel assets as part of an owner-operator portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess strong project oversight skills, experience managing multiple funding sources within a fund model, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Construction knowledge is a plus, but the primary focus is on effective management, reporting, and coordination of third-party construction management firms. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the development and enhancement of luxury and upscale hotel assets across the US. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the end-to-end execution of capital projects for hotel assets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and investor expectations. Manage and coordinate third-party construction management firms, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence. Develop, monitor, and report on project budgets, schedules, and key milestones, providing transparent updates to senior leadership and investors. Collaborate with internal teams, fund managers, and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution. Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure project deliverables meet specified standards. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and permitting requirements. Track project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Assist with due diligence and feasibility evaluations for new hotel projects or asset upgrades. Contribute to optimizing project procurement processes and contractual arrangements. Support the Chief Development Officer in strategic planning, reporting, and decision-making processes related to capital projects. Critical Requirements: Proven experience managing capital projects within a fund or multi-source funding environment. Strong project oversight skills, including managing third-party construction and development teams. Exceptional ability to monitor budgets, schedules, and project quality while reporting progress accurately. Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Construction knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn and collaborate is essential. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Hospitality, Real Estate, or related field. 8+ years of experience in project management, construction, or development, preferably within the hotel/hospitality sector. Familiarity with fund structures, multiple funding sources, and investor reporting. Experience with enterprise project management tools and software. Knowledge of NYC or US building codes and permitting processes is a plus. Seniority level
