The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PRN 1099) will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health care to patients in a variety of settings. Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health. Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice. Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). At least two years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with diverse populations and various mental health conditions. Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology. Additional certifications in specialized areas of mental health care. Responsibilies:
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as appropriate. Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients and their families. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Skills:
The required skills for this role include strong clinical assessment abilities, which are essential for accurately diagnosing mental health conditions. Effective communication skills are vital for building rapport with patients and collaborating with the healthcare team.
