Position Summary:
The
Clinical Psychology department
is seeking highly qualified candidates for adjunct faculty positions at our
Dallas Campus
to teach in our Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) program. Our faculty members typify a scholar-practitioner model of education to teach doctoral-level psychology courses and integrate technology into classroom instruction.
The Clinical PsyD Department is seeking qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach the following courses: Social Bases of Behavior Social-Organizational Psychology
Principal Duties:
The primary responsibility of adjunct faculty members is to teach courses by sharing theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject, and when applicable, encouraging direct application to the workplace within the field of clinical psychology.
All adjunct faculty members at The Chicago School at Dallas are expected to be available and responsive to students during the course. This "availability" includes: Timely grading of assignments and providing quality feedback; Being available outside of regular class meetings to address student's questions
and concerns
Adjuncts will be provided course syllabi with recommended course texts prior to beginning the teaching assignment. Modifications of syllabi are possible with approval of the Department Chair.
Position Qualifications: Doctoral degree in social psychology or industrial-organizational psychology. Graduate of an APA accredited doctoral program (if degree is in clinical psychology). Certain courses require licensure as a psychologist. Previous teaching experience (3 years preferred). Exemplary professional experience. Engagement in research and scholarship (preferred). Strong commitment to academic excellence, research, community service, and diversity.
