Virtus Healthcare Staffing is supporting the recruitment efforts for an open
Mental Health Therapist
position at a leading correctional healthcare facility in
California City, CA .
This is a
full-time onsite
role where you will serve as the Mental Health Coordinator, providing vital behavioral health services in a secure and structured environment.
Requirements:
Master's degree from an accredited program in
Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling , or a related clinical field. Active licensure in California as an
LPC, LCSW, LMFT , or equivalent. Minimum of
five (5) years of clinical experience , including at least
two (2) years in a comparable role . Valid driver's license preferred. Must be
at least 18 years old . Strong skills in crisis intervention, therapeutic assessment, and treatment planning. Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism in a correctional setting. Why Join?

$110,000 - $130,000 , based on experience. Comprehensive

Conduct mental health screenings, assessments, and crisis interventions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based counseling methods. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in health records. Collaborate with correctional staff, medical providers, and external agencies as needed. Promote a therapeutic environment while maintaining facility safety and security standards. Uphold ethical standards and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
