Position: Quality Control Inspector for CNC Machine Shop Full-Time Shift: Days Description: The Quality Control Inspector for CNC is responsible for ensuring the quality and precision of machined parts and small weldments in a CNC machine shop environment. This role focuses on performing first article and in-process inspections, verifying adherence to blueprint specifications, and ensuring timely delivery of parts in accordance with production schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, attention to detail, and expertise in quality control processes. All employees are required to support Rosenbauers Mission, Vision, and Values. Duties and Responsibilities: First Article and In-Process Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of first article and in-process CNC-machined parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Blueprint Reading: Interpret and analyze complex blueprints, technical drawings, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDandT) to verify part accuracy and conformance. Small Weldment Inspection: Inspect small part weldments for correctness, including weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to specifications. Quality Verification: Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), and other inspection equipment to verify part dimensions and tolerances. Schedule Adherence: Prioritize inspections based on production schedules to ensure timely delivery of verified parts to meet project deadlines. Documentation: Maintain accurate inspection records, document non-conformances, and generate reports to support quality assurance processes. Collaboration: Work closely with CNC machinists, welders, and production supervisors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to maintaining a high standard of quality within the machine shop. Assist the Quality Manager in any other projects being worked on for the betterment of the company. Any other duties as assigned. Preferred Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control inspection within a CNC machine shop environment. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in quality control, machining, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong blueprint reading and GDandT knowledge. Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges). Familiarity with CNC machining processes and small weldment fabrication. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production schedules. Strong communication skills to collaborate with production teams. Certification: ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar certification is a plus. Working Conditions:
