EUV Tech is looking for a talented R&D Electrical Engineer to join our team developing EUV metrology solutions. The R&D Electrical Engineer will be primarily responsible for leading the effort to create or evaluate low noise, low photon count detection systems for EUV metrology tools. We are seeking a self-driven individual who is an experienced engineer with a multi-disciplinary skill set including system architecture definition, error budget analysis across multiple disciplines.

About the Role
The Electrical Engineer will work with a team of engineers and scientists to develop the next generation of EUV metrology solutions. This position will be responsible for developing new solutions to improve the photon detection performance of new and existing EUV metrology tools.

Your Role
Responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the testing of new detection systems for low photon count systems including ultra low-noise analog circuit design Able to independently study and analyze the error budget of a detection system including, for example, quantum yield and photon noise, electrical noise (amplification and environmental), digitization and sampling, etc. Able to independently determine requirements for detection performance, calibration, and tuning to optimize performance of detection systems Accountable for updated status across multiple projects Interface with multiple teams to integrate R&D efforts into new and existing products Generation of procedural documentation and interacting with technical writing staff Identify and develop content for patent applications Other duties as assigned Qualifications (Required) PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Extensive knowledge of low count photon detectors and low noise amplification systems Ability to engage a cross-functional team towards a desired outcome Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Problem analysis and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong leadership, problem solving and analytical skills Ability to organize and plan use of time and people effectively and efficiently Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with highly technical peers Have the capability to manage workload among changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic startup environment Have the ability to multi-task within a single or across multiple projects simultaneously Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Qualifications (Bonus to Have) Extensive knowledge of EUV lithography industry and overall challenges Extensive knowledge of physics, optics, and control systems to understand and develop EUV metrology systems Experience with EUV/ soft X-ray detection systems Position Details
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$185,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and EUV Tech's location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the respective role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by the following factors: job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
