Engineering Technician
Position Overview Seeking an experienced R&D Engineering Technician to support product development activities, prototype assembly, and testing under the direction of R&D engineers. This role also involves lab management responsibilities, equipment maintenance, and potential technician supervision.
Key Responsibilities • Support bench testing and assist in design troubleshooting. • Oversee and guide lab technicians; assign tasks and provide technical support. • Manage lab operations, including equipment upkeep and consumables procurement. • May supervise electronics or lab technicians. • Maintain audit readiness (e.g., wrist strap testing). • Draft, release, and execute lab test protocols. • Develop and maintain documentation for test fixtures.
Required Skills & Experience • Strong electronics background with hands-on R&D lab experience. • Skilled with industry-standard test equipment and tools (oscilloscopes, EMI receivers, emulators, etc.). • Ability to assemble, repair, and troubleshoot systems, boards, and modules. • Familiar with digital design concepts and verification document creation. • Collaborative approach to debugging and problem-solving with senior engineers. • Effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams. • Capable of supervising tasks and providing schedule updates to management.
Minimum Qualifications • 5+ years of relevant experience in electronics and R&D environments. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
