Senior Systems Administrator Employment Type: Full-time About the Role Join a high-performing infrastructure team that supports a groundbreaking, data-driven platform with global reach. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain operational, development, and test environments. Automate system administration tasks using tools like Ansible or Puppet. Apply patches and manage upgrades across Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows servers. Monitor performance metrics and resource usage; recommend optimizations and capacity planning. Ensure system compliance with rigorous security and uptime requirements. Perform system-level testing for resilience and redundancy. Conduct or assist in network and OS-level vulnerability assessments. Create technical documentation for systems processes and procedures. Manage backups, recovery planning, asset tracking, and license compliance. Provide Tier II/III support, root cause analysis, and incident resolution. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure roles. Strong background in managing Linux and Windows environments. In-depth knowledge of OS-level security, network protocols, and system hardening. Experience with centralized authentication systems and identity/access management. Familiarity with virtualization, containerization, and cloud-hybrid environments. Proficient in configuration management, scripting, and system automation. Comfortable working in a highly secure, configuration-managed environment. Skilled in documentation and process development for technical operations. Ability to support geographically dispersed teams and vendors. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. Preferred Certifications Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Engineer (RHCE) Microsoft Certified (e.g., Windows Server Hybrid Administrator) CompTIA Server+ Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Life and disability insurance HSA and FSA options 401(k) with employer match Paid parental leave, PTO, holidays, and sick days Tuition reimbursement and professional development support Team events and employee referral program Seniority level
