Dignity Health St. Joseph's Medical Center seeks an experienced
Program Director
for its ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program, established in 2021. The program, in partnership with Napa State Hospital, aims to train psychiatrists committed to high-quality care. Currently, it trains ten residents per year and is one of nine residency programs launched in the last five years at this facility. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education across all sites involved in the residency program. Implement and enforce all ACGME standards and requirements. Establish and guide the strategic direction of the program. Maintain and enhance the training quality within the Psychiatry Residency Program. The Program Director collaborates with physician leaders, administration, and staff to improve clinical outcomes. The role requires dedicating at least 50% of time (minimum 28 hours/week or 1,400 hours/year) to program administration, evaluation, teaching, resident precepting, and scholarship. Additional time will be spent in direct patient care outside of the 1,400 hours/year allocation.
