Job Title : Rad Tech
Dept : Radiology - General Diagnostic
Location : MPLS
FTE : 0.8
Assignment Length: 10 weeks
Shift : Variable shifts (Days, Eves, Nights)
5am - 1:30pm Monday - Friday & 5 am - 5:30pm Saturday and Sunday every other week (week on week off)
Weekend Coverage : occasional
On Call : once per month
Summary of Responsibilities
Radiology, General Diagnostic:
Rad Tech I
Current ARRT certification as a radiologic technologist.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
N95 fit testing required.
Provides health care services using X-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques producing images for interpretation by and at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
Provides appropriate care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Radiology, CT: CT Tech
Current ARRT certification as a radiologic technologist.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
CT Techs are required to float to General Diagnostic to help with x-rays, portables, and other duties as needed.
N95 fit testing required.
Responsible for operating the CT scanning equipment to produce the images used by the Radiologists
Orients the patient and family to the scan procedure and physically prepares and processes the patient through the study.
Prepares and assesses image quality and presents completed images to the Radiologist.
Radiology, MRI: MRI Tech,
Current ARRT certification as a radiologic technologist.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Prior radiology experience preferred.
N95 fit testing required.
Responsible for operating MRI scanning equipment and ensuring everyone that enters the MRI scan room is MRI safe.
Produces the images used by the Radiologists.
Orients the patient and family to the scan procedure and physically prepares and processes the patient through the study.
Communicates procedural information to the Radiologist.
Prepares and assesses image quality and presents completed images to the Radiologist.
Radiology, Ultrasound: Ultrasound Tech,
Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited sonography program or equivalent.
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Provides health care services, using sonographic equipment to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
Applies age-appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
