Overview
Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Experience :
Five (5) years of professional Museum and / or Public Art experience. Education Substitution : Additional qualifying experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to the maximum of 2 years). Thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units equal one year. Desirable Qualifications Knowledge of aesthetic standards and American Alliance of Museums (AAM) standards. Knowledge of museum registration and collection management best practices. Knowledge of municipal organization budgeting and accounting processes. Knowledge of municipal personnel processes. Knowledge of computer database systems, especially FilemakerPro. Experience supervising professionals in a museum environment. Experience working in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
