Overview
A Fortune 500 client is looking for a Senior SQL DBA to join their team as this client looks evolve its current domain and upgrades of new products in the SQL environment. As a SQL Server DBA, you will be responsible for successful support and maintenance of the SQL Server environment. You will collaborate with the DBA team and other IT application teams in providing efficient DBA support. Reporting to the Manager of the DBA support team, you will be involved in patching, upgrading, tuning, and stabilizing of the SQL Server environment to support our client's core business objectives. The ideal candidate will be local to the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport area, and would want to go onsite for a couple days a week, however remote candidates will be considered. This client works a 9/80 schedule, so you will have off every other Friday.

In depth knowledge and use of tools such as dbatools and other modules is a plus. Experience with enterprise grade features in SQL Server such as Partitioning and Replication is a plus. Experience with VLDBs of 10+TB is a plus. Exposure to and usage of Redgate tools is a plus. SQL Server certification(s) is/are a plus. 7+ years of SQL DBA experience Hands on experience in the design, implementation and support of SQL server 2017/2019 databases Some experience of WSFC and enterprise SQL Server Failover Cluster installations SQL Server AlwaysOn Strong PowerShell scripting Hands on operational experience with DB security, backup, recovery, and maintenance Ability to interact with application teams on setup and configuration of applications as it pertains to SQL databases. Willingness to learn and adopt new approaches for handling large volume databases in a standardized scripting approach Excellent communication Team Player
