Energy Storage Project Finance Analyst (Analyst to Associate level)
Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)
This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading renewable energy venture with strong private equity backing, focused on the development, execution, and operation of utility-scale energy storage projects.
They are at the forefront of the industry, with over 9GW of projects developed in a short period, currently expanding their Project Finance Team.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong commercial acumen and a solid understanding or quick learning ability of the financial nuances in utility-scale renewables development, EPC, and operational transactions.
- Proven experience in financial modeling and debt/equity structuring.
- The ability to communicate complex project finance initiatives clearly to various stakeholders.
- Experience across project development, origination, interconnection/power markets, EPC, and construction financing transactions.
- Preferred exposure to off-take strategies, tax equity structures, and project bidding processes for complex energy infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on financial modeling initiatives supporting utility-scale battery storage projects nationwide.
- Own financial models related to project off-take, bidding, debt/equity structuring, project sales, and tax incentives.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop financial analysis and forecasting tools for corporate financing and project assessments.
- Review industry macroeconomic trends to optimize financial analytic processes and mitigate portfolio risks.
Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Power, Renewables, Capital Markets, or Energy Infrastructure transactions.
- Strong project finance modeling skills in Microsoft Excel and debt/equity structuring experience.
- Experience with complex debt and tax equity transactions preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex analyses clearly.
- Ability to engage in advanced discussions in the renewables and storage sectors.
- Understanding of US energy markets like PJM, ERCOT, SPP, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, and CAISO is beneficial but not required.
