Position Overview: Wire Bender / Retainer Technician As a Wire Bender / Retainer Technician, you will fabricate orthodontic appliances like retainers and mouthpieces, interpreting prescriptions to ensure wires are bent accurately and to specifications. Key Responsibilities: Receive models and prescriptions from the doctor. Review and interpret prescriptions to understand the appliance type and modifications. Use orthodontic pliers to perform precise wire bending based on specifications. Ensure wires are correctly installed onto molds per prescription. Collaborate with Quality Assurance to review work and make adjustments. Support additional tasks in the fabrication process as needed.
