Overview
The Welder is responsible for operating Robotic Welders and Tangent Bender in accordance with SOP/VOP to assure a quality product is received by our customers. The Welder is also responsible for welding various metal joints and intersections of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel together. They will weld racks, blocks, and other miscellaneous items as needed. Both TIG and MIG wire feed welding is utilized. The Welder needs knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Provide prompt and efficient service with emphasis on quality of work. Work from list of catalog numbers and various reports. Use welding equipment as well as material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, overhead hoist, and an assortment of air and common hand tools. Attend LOTO and General Electrical Safety Training each year. Work Safely to prevent on-the-job injuries. Report on-the-job injuries and unsafe acts or conditions to the Supervisor. You will work in Bottom Weld, Tangent Bender and Cover Weld areas You will operate Welding Robot Work Cell - Fanuc Robot ARC Mate model 100i, ArcTool Software, and System R-J2 Controller You will start-up, change over, and shutdown robot weld operations and tangent bender operations You will teach robot when changes to tank sizes dictates You will obtain internal forklift Certification and Hoist/Crane training You will visually inspect welder torch and wire feeder. Clean wire feed at shift start. Review current PPE condition and replace if needed. You will operate welding equipment and make equipment adjustments as needed to maintain quality welds. You will produce a quality weld, according to our standards You will achieve daily production goals You will perform touch up welds when necessary You will train new operators when necessary High school diploma or GED Welding Diploma from an accredited one-year program.
