Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to join our US Household Personal Care Products & Beverages team in New York. If you have a passion for research and are interested in building a long-term career in the investing world, there’s no better place to start than Bernstein. We seek candidates who love to solve problems, analyze data, and are passionate about in-depth fundamental analysis. As a Senior Research Associate, you will:
Become an industry expert working one-on-one with a Senior Analyst who often has 10-15 years of prior industry experience in consulting and/or management roles Become highly proficient at in-depth analysis of your companies, stocks, and industry themes Author highly differentiated written research that is famous for its deep industry insights and quantitative frameworks, including our signature Blackbook product Become adept at financial forecasting, including building detailed forward-looking models Build strong relationships across the investing community including our sales and trading teams and institutional clients Build a network within your industry including senior managements of your companies Act as team COO and actively manage your franchise’s workflow
We have an outstanding Associate program and make a strong commitment to your development. Our culture is intellectually rigorous, but it is also very collegial and fun. We have robust learning and development programs as well as annual offsite events. We offer a flexible work schedule, but our in-office environment is very active. Our Associates are highly involved in (and often lead) our firm’s cultural initiatives, ranging from health & wellness, community service, mentoring, employee resource groups, social events, and Associate leadership.
The role is eligible an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, Medical/Dental/Vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters. Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.

For our Senior Research Associate roles, we look for evidence of thought leadership, intellectual breadth, quantitative rigor and a differentiated approach to solving problems. We look carefully at your academic background as well as any prior work experience for evidence of the following:
