is seeking an experienced licensed Senior Civil Engineer to drive business growth and project success for local and regional clients. The role involves leading civil design projects, managing budgets, and business development activities. The ideal candidate is a “seller-doer” with experience in pursuing business opportunities while leading and supervising a multi-discipline team. Work Location:
Jackson, MS (1 position), Memphis, TN (1 position), and Huntsville, AL (1 position) - Relocation Assistance may be provided. SOL Engineering does not sponsor work visas at this time. Job Duties
Leads and manages civil design projects and project delivery teams from concept through completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget. This includes design, analysis, and production of state, municipal, private, and federal projects. Serves as the Engineer of Record for assigned civil engineering projects. Develops and manages office and project-level budgets, establishing and enforcing system requirements, responsibilities, and standards supporting SOL's financial success. Develops and executes Business Development initiatives to identify and capture new opportunities, while retaining existing clients and contracts. Manages technical execution of programs and projects, including developing project management plans, quality requirements, procedures, and goals as per SOL and client standards. Develops, manages, and executes comprehensive project management plans including risk assessments, quality management, change management, schedules, budgets, communication plans, and reporting. Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited school (a master’s degree is a plus). 10+ years of civil engineering experience. Current Professional Engineering registration in Tennessee, Alabama, or Mississippi, with the ability to obtain registration in multiple states within one year. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external partners, including clients, subcontractors, and utility companies. Strong time and project management skills. Highly organized, dependable, and professional. Experience with regulatory permitting at federal, state, regional, county, and local levels is a plus. Proficiency in producing construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Locations:
