Top Secret Cleared
Senior Database Administrator for an upcoming project
to provide all activities related to administration of computerized databases. The
Senior Database Administrator will plan
long-range requirements for database administration and design, design, create, and maintain databases in client/server environments, and conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate data use.
Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
Applies knowledge of database technologies, development methodologies, and programming languages.
Design, implement, and maintain complex databases with JCL, access methods, and security protocols
Perform database programming and support systems design
Administer, operate, maintain, and secure large-scale computer databases
Conduct database quality control, auditing, and validation checks
Maintain database dictionaries and monitor standards and procedures
Support FPDW and FLIS database integration and data management
Coordinate database access and security for multiple user environments
Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:
5+ years progressive database experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access
3+ years hands-on RDBMS experience
Experience in at least 2 large-scale database projects
Required Certifications/Education:
DoD 8570 Certification (Enhanced due to IT-I level) such as:
Security+ CE
(minimum) CISSP
(preferred for IT-I) GSEC
Database Vendor Certifications (MANDATORY) such as:
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Database Administrator Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate Oracle Certified Master (OCM)
- highest level Microsoft SQL Server MCSA/MCSE
(legacy but still recognized)
Computing Environment Certifications such as:
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC)
Required Security Clearance:
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance, with SCI eligibility, per contract requirements.
