Safety Training Technician
supports and enhances our workplace safety culture. This role is responsible for delivering safety training programs, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, especially during night shift operations. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about safety, effective in communication, and capable of working independently during off-peak hours.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct safety orientation and ongoing training for all night shift personnel. Develop and deliver engaging safety training sessions (classroom, hands-on, and digital formats). Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements. Perform regular safety audits and inspections during night shifts to identify hazards and ensure compliance. Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis for night shift incidents. Maintain accurate training records and safety documentation. Support the Safety Supervisor in implementing safety initiatives and corrective actions. Serve as a point of contact for safety concerns during night operations. Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching and positive reinforcement. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial technology, or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in safety training or industrial safety, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities during night shifts. Have both OSHA 10- and 30-hour certification Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Must be free of a fear of heights. Able to lift 35 lbs. Work Environment:
Primarily 3 p.m. to 11p.m. Monday through Friday working in a peanut shelling and oil manufacturing process facility. Exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Must be able to stand, walk, and conduct physical inspections for extended periods.
