Job Opportunity At Saint Francis Hospital
Position Purpose: At Saint Francis Hospital the Acute Care & Medical Observation Units provides care of adults with a variety of medical diagnoses, including, but not limited to, diseases or disorders of the pulmonary system, gastrointestinal system, renal system, endocrine system, circulatory system, neurological system, as well as infectious diseases, dermatological disorders and autoimmune disorders.
What you will do:
- Assists the Director with Performance Improvement activities, unit and patient satisfaction issues, and policy development.
- Ensures high-quality standards of care and a safe environment in compliance with infection control standards, specialty organizations, DPH, and The Joint Commission standards and recommendations, and assures consistent implementation by all staff.
- A track record of effectively partnering and communicating with physicians to achieve objectives and results.
- Must demonstrate the ability to affect positive medical staff relations while working with highly qualified physicians.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science BSN in Nursing required. A Master of Science in Nursing MSN is preferred.
- Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure is required.
- Experience: 3 or more years of progressive nursing management experience is required. 5 or more years of a combination of inpatient RN experience between clinical nursing and management is strongly preferred.
- BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.
