Principal Software Engineer
Solidus is hiring a Principal Software Engineer. This is an onsite role based in Aurora, CO. Day in the life includes designing, developing, testing, delivering, and maintaining software for cutting-edge satellite ground systems. Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment. Experience a breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design. Utilize modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques. Explore software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects. Gain experience with satellite ground system technologies including command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations. Required qualifications include a US Citizen with an active Top Secret Clearance, undergoing a comprehensive background investigation, a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), 8 years of relevant software engineering experience, experience developing object-oriented software using Java and C++, experience developing software in a Linux environment, and experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket. Preferred qualifications include active TS/SCI, experience with some area of satellite ground system software, experience leading software teams, software development lifecycle experience using the SAFe Agile methodology, experience developing software using Python, experience with software integration, cloud architecture, infrastructure/platform as a service, microservices, containerization, and web-based systems, experience with AMMP, Cucumber, GIT, Khaos (M2C2 FD), Kubernetes, Oracle, Postgres, SonarQube, Weblogic, WIGS/Angular, experience with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes, and experience working with full stack development. The salary for this position is estimated to be between $140,000- $190,000. Customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies and certifications, clearance status, and benefit selections will influence the final salary.
