About the Role: The Kuiper Production Operations team seeks a Systems Development Engineer eager to tackle challenges and champion security and compliance controls. As part of the Kuiper Enterprise Technology team, you'll play a vital role in implementing and managing systems that meet our high security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate and implement security controls.
- Contribute to system development engineering projects.
- Assist certification and assessment programs by communicating effectively with Kuiper Security and auditors.
- Drive continuous improvements in our compliance program and process management.
- Track information security metrics and goals for required controls.
- Develop dashboards, canaries, and alarms for automated controls.
- Communicate project status and deliverables clearly to management and stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations and risk interpretations tailored to different audiences.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
- Proficient in at least one modern programming language (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline build processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
This position requires you to be a U.S. Citizen to comply with government requirements. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $116,300 to $201,200, based on various factors including location, experience, and skills.
