Job Description:
Peraton is seeking an experienced systems Hardware Engineer to join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades, and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's global missions. Responsibilities include: Design, develop, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the clients' server/compute platforms. Perform end-to-end network systems engineering, working with vendors. Identify and maintain requirements to achieve mission needs, perform higher-level network design, and create Power Space and Cooling (PSC), Bill of Material (BOM), Baseline Exception Requirements (BER), and other procurement documents. Create and design complex network core cabling and infrastructure cabling between racks, ensuring all cabling drawing packages are accurate. Lead integration efforts of equipment from vendors such as Cisco, HP, Dell, IBM, among others. Perform quality assurance on all systems procurement, ensuring they meet build standards. Establish processes to control and manage changes to requirements, considering impacts, gaining stakeholder buy-in, and ensuring traceability. Manage and ensure the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, updating it during the system lifecycle. Develop operational scenarios and concepts describing system interactions with users and the environment. Coordinate system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring all interfaces are covered. Provide technical planning, system, integration, verification, cost, risk, and supportability analyses. Research new technologies and obtain technical specifications. Keep updated on End of Sale, End of Support, and End of Life components. Manage vendor communications, including technical specifications, quotes, and BOMs. Create rack elevations, floor plans, build documents, and review drawings. Update build cable run lists and upload for team use. Develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, test cases, issue resolutions, and documentation. Travel may be required within the NCR for customer or corporate needs. Note:
Position is contingent on contract award. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to pass CI Poly. Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's, or 3 years with a PhD, or 12 years with a high school diploma. Proven experience in hardware design, testing, and platform analysis. Knowledge of computer hardware components. Proficiency in hardware engineering tools and documenting requirements. Desired Qualifications: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearances. Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering. Prior experience with customer missions and programs. Security Clearance:
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and be able to obtain a CI Poly. US Citizenship required. Peraton Overview
