The Security Control Assessor will:
Conduct verification and validation for security compliance of low and moderately complex information systems, products, and components.
Analyze design specifications, documentation, configuration practices, and operational procedures.
Identify non-compliance with security requirements and suggest mitigations.
Conduct on-site evaluations and validate security requirements of the information system.
Perform vulnerability assessments, coordinate penetration testing, and produce certification reports.
Provide process improvement recommendations and draft standards and guidelines for usage.
Required experience:
At least twelve years of experience in security, systems engineering, or system assessment, including recent experience within the last three years in five or more areas such as cybersecurity principles, access/control, PKI, and network security architecture.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, or related field is required. A Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience. Alternatively, four years of additional security or system engineering experience can substitute for a degree.
Certifications:
DoD 8570 compliance with IAT III or IAM III is required.
Pay Range:
The proposed salary range is
$198,720.23 - $215,321.60 . Compensation depends on various factors including location, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
