As a Security Guard Access Control Monitor in Catawba, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling access to the premises. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible presence to support a secure environment. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM Tue 06:00 AM - 12:00 PM Sat 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit. Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and procedures. Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols. Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns. Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related needs and concerns specific to the manufacturing and industrial environment. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements; this is preferred for primarily driving posts. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
