Position: DBA Mainframe with IMS Background Location: Wilmington, DE (Weekly 5 days office is must) Duration: Contract Job Description 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA working with IBM DB2 and IMS on z/OS. Strong experience with tools such as DB2 Utilities (REORG, LOAD, RUNSTATS, COPY), IMS utilities, and Tivoli OMEGAMON. Proficiency in JCL, TSO/ISPF, and other z/OS mainframe tools. Solid understanding of relational database theory, storage structures, and performance tuning. Experience with C3 is a must. Administer and maintain DB2 for z/OS and IMS (DB/DC) databases to ensure high availability and performance. Install, configure, upgrade, and patch DB2 and IMS environments. Perform database design, physical data modeling, and schema management for new and existing applications. Perform backups, restores, and recovery using IBM utilities and job control language (JCL). Support development teams with SQL optimization, application deployment, and problem resolution.
