Under the direction of the President, the Director of Sales & Business Development will be responsible for developing new aircraft engine sales, business development and customer analysis for the General Aviation OR Military and UAS OEM business. In addition, this individual will build lasting relationships with customers. This Director will be the face of DeltaHawk, showcasing the benefits of ownership and ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience from start to finish. Job Summary:
Under the direction of the President, the Director of Sales & Business Development will be responsible for developing new aircraft engine sales, business development and customer analysis for the General Aviation OR Military and UAS OEM business. In addition, this individual will build lasting relationships with customers. This Director will be the face of DeltaHawk, showcasing the benefits of ownership and ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience from start to finish.
This individual will work directly with the President to achieve outlined sales goals. In addition to planning, organizing, and executing sales activities, this individual will present the Company, product and market info to prospective buyers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs Defines vision, strategies, and action plans for the business area and any assigned business development opportunities Assists in the formulation of advertising campaigns and approves publicity releases and promotional activities Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives Develops strategic plans by identifying internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth and profitability Represents solutions to clients, industry forums, and other companies; maintain a visible presence within industry Uses integrative, innovative, and insightful thinking processes to develop comprehensive winning bid strategies Research effective sales campaigns and make strategic recommendations Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms Host prospective customers during factory visits, tours and aircraft demonstrations Prepare RFI’s, RFQ’s, proposals, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs Respond to customer feedback, including directing service issues, complaints and comments to the correct in-house departments, such as Quality, Engineering or Technical Publications. 50% travel is anticipated
Qualifications.
Required:
A driven sales professional with a four year college degree (in business w/ a sales emphasis preferred) and 7+ years experience selling OR 11+ years experience selling in aviation industry Experience with customers in the following categories:
Government & Defense UAS (manufacturers & civilian) Certified General Aviation aircraft manufacturers
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Technical Requirements – Systems knowledge of Salesforce.com and ERP Proven history of aviation sales success Able to thrive in a highly interactive team environment Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, communication, collaboration and leadership skills Recognized ability to build relationships with senior level customers and internal counterparts Basic understanding of international business and export processes Works well under pressure with the ability to simultaneously deliver on multiple tasks and/or priorities. Demonstrates ability to collaborate with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives; results assessed from a relatively long-term perspective Ability to communicate effectively and develop strong relationships at all levels internally and externally with clientele, dealers, and industry partners.

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily be in the field, meeting prospective customers. Candidates will need to work autonomously outside a formal office and formal team environment.
