Salary Range:
$75,000 – $95,000 annually

Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced
Workers’ Compensation Claim Consultant
to join our remote team supporting multiple client accounts in the
California WC jurisdiction only . In this role, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end handling of claims—from investigation to resolution—ensuring accurate payments, exceptional customer service, and compliance with state laws and client expectations.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Investigate, evaluate, and adjust California workers’ compensation claims in accordance with CCMSI’s Best Practices and jurisdictional requirements Establish reserves and authorize claim payments within designated authority Review medical and legal documents to ensure charges are appropriate and related Negotiate settlements in compliance with corporate and client-specific instructions Maintain ongoing communication with claimants, clients, attorneys, and vendors Monitor subrogation potential and pursue recoveries as needed Provide detailed claim reports and attend client claim review meetings or hearings when required Serve as a point of contact for complex claim resolution, contributing to client satisfaction and retention
Required
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of California workers’ compensation claims experience Current SIP certification or ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment Knowledge of CA WC law and regulations Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree Familiarity with client service metrics and claims performance dashboards Prior experience managing multi-account desks

Compliance with CCMSI’s Best Practices Claims closure ratios and timely indemnity payments Quality audit scores Client satisfaction and communication responsiveness

Compensation & Compliance
This role pays
$75,000 to $95,000 annually , based on experience and qualifications. The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
