Apply via Dice today! Job Title: Senior Storage Engineer Nasuni & Cloud File Services Location: Remote (CST or EST time zone Pref.) Job Type: Contractor Candidates might have to visit the client location if required. Resource Type: Contractor Department: IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Storage Engineer with deep expertise in Nasuni File Data Platform and enterprise storage technologies. This role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and high- performance file storage solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud storage architecture, data protection, and enterprise IT operations. Key Responsibilities: Nasuni Platform Management: Lead the deployment, configuration, and administration of Nasuni File Data Platform across global sites. Manage Nasuni Edge Appliances, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and data synchronization. Integrate Nasuni with cloud object storage (e.g., Azure Blob, AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage). Monitor and optimize Nasuni caching, snapshotting, and global file locking features. Storage Architecture & Operations: Design and implement scalable storage solutions that meet business continuity, performance, and compliance requirements. Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management of storage infrastructure. Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to align storage solutions with business needs. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Nasuni. Strong understanding of file systems, NAS protocols (SMB, NFS), and Active Directory integration. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid cloud storage models. Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash). Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, and incident response. Preferred Qualifications: Nasuni certifications or formal training.
