Mars MBSE SysML Digital Engineer(Sr Member of technical Staff/Project Engineer- Systems Engineering).
In this role you will support digital engineering/MBSE efforts in support of missions to Mars. This includes improving how analysis, evaluation and data management and integration is achieved by leading and integrating digital engineering practices across the SAO landscape. Work Model This is a full-time position based at Johnson Space Center, TX, or Washington DC, offering a hybrid work model that combines at least 4-5 regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as the business needs allow What You'll Be Doing Implement and support Digital Engineering across the Mars Architecture Team Formulate recommendations to senior-level program management on how to digitize and streamline current processes using a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach Implement MBSE to trace disparate concept and architecture data (goals, objectives, use cases, functions, systems, technology gaps, etc.) from separate documents within the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD) for a more holistic analysis of architecture discrepancies and gaps Introduce the concepts of standards and a common ontology to establish data consistency and provide a path for better integration with industry and international partners Utilize Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML leveraging experience with coding to interact with Cameo's API and pull data both out of and into Cameo Support coding in Groovy or JAVA to build scripts internal to a Cameo Model for analysis of Cameo data (or related data from external sources Drive Enterprise Systems Engineering (ESE), System of Systems Engineering (SoSE), or Architecting Perform trade analyses at multiple levels of fidelity Coordinate and integrate requirements, strategic technical objectives, interfaces, standards, issues and findings with subject matter experts and stakeholders Serve as a highly proactive MBSE expert, understanding issues and formulating options/recommendations, while working closely with SAO leadership and constituent offices, as well as integrating across the ESDMD and NASA landscape (i.e., Programs, projects and Centers) Apply MBSE to pre-Formulation concepts to develop products that ensure new systems are successfully meeting the goals and objectives of the Moon to Mars Architecture Coordinate and integrate with the Moon to Mars Program Office to ensure data flows "from the right to the left" without a loss of information or redundant efforts Continuously monitor, capture and integrate data information across the team landscape Work with developers to create digital environments and capabilities that provide business intelligence across the mission landscape and integration with program offices Perform other duties for the customer as required What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements for the
Member of Technical Staff-Systems Engineering A bachelor's degree or advanced degree from an accredited program in a technical STEM discipline At least 3 years of responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, working in digital engineering field Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communications skills, including development of and briefing of decision packages and complex information in a succinct and polished manner Exposure to integrating MBSE across multiple organizations Knowledge and experience of Digital Engineering concepts, methodologies, and tools Strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task across various issues/disciplines simultaneously Independent and self-motivated; proactive ability to learn on the job and serve as the primary interface to the customer Ability to work within a team environment, where the team is distributed across multiple NASA centers and Aerospace Corporation organizations, projects and programs. This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government.
