Strada Education Foundation is seeking a Data Operations Engineer to lead their cloud data warehouse environment development and optimization. This role is crucial in establishing and maintaining data infrastructure supporting advanced research, workforce analytics, and education alignment efforts for state partners. The position offers a competitive salary range of $115,300 - $137,600 plus annual bonus, with hybrid work options in Washington, DC or Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in cloud-based data warehouse platforms, particularly Snowflake, along with strong proficiency in SQL and Python. This role combines technical expertise in data engineering with strategic thinking, as you'll be responsible for managing data pipelines, implementing governance policies, and providing technical leadership to support analysis and data-driven decision-making. The position is divided into four core areas: Data Management (40%), System Administration and Performance Optimization (30%), Data Collaboration and Reporting Support (20%), and Team Leadership & DEI Commitment (10%). You'll work closely with internal research teams and state agency partners, managing everything from ETL/ELT pipelines to system performance optimization. Manage, maintain, and optimize the cloud data warehouse environment Develop and orchestrate scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for data ingestion and transformation Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance compliance across all workflows Establish best practices for data security, access control, and compliance Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues Manage storage, query performance, and resource allocation in the Snowflake environment Provide technical data access and support to the Education Analytics and Technical Services team Assist in the development of dashboards and reporting tools Requirements For Data Operations Engineer
