FAMU-FSU College of Engineering Office of Research and Graduate Studies invites applications from highly qualified individuals for a Graduate Studies Coordinator position.
Responsibilities
Working under the supervision of the Graduate Program Director, the Graduate Studies Coordinator serves as the central hub for all graduate academic operations within the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering Research & Graduate Studies Office, ensuring seamless management of student records, admissions processes, and graduation requirements.
Responsible for the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering Research & Graduate Studies Office role in processing, maintaining, and coordinating graduate academic records. Advises academic units and students on registration and graduation processes and deadlines. Preforms specialized enrollment management functions under supervision of the Graduate Program Director. Reviews and processes requests and paperwork from academic units and students. Assist Graduate Program Director with graduation clearances. Assists in the processing of differential and graduate student tuition waivers. Updates and maintains Engineering Graduate SharePoint with relevant forms and process/procedures. Provides assistance in the facilitation of the FAMU Manuscript Clearance process, including formatting review and advising.
Counsels applicants and other relevant constituencies (via phone, in person, or e-mail) regarding the processing of admission applications, providing expertise and advice regarding the application process. Troubleshoots application problems.
Utilizes application/prospect systems implemented at the College of Engineering to engage prospects, applicants, and admitted students to strengthen the applicant volume and yields in the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering graduate programs. Participates in special events hosted by the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering Research & Graduate Studies such as admissions open house/preview, graduate weekend, orientation, etc.
Assists academic departments in support of the goals of Research & Graduate Studies. Must ensure compliance with the Family Educational Rights to Privacy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to six years.

Ability to utilize problem solving skills.
Knowledge of academic resources is available to students.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
Knowledge of principles and practices of academic program planning, development, and evaluation.
Knowledge of university admissions processes.
Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
