is seeking a seasoned legal practitioner with deep expertise in probate litigation, trusts, estates, and related disputes. This position is ideal for a self-driven attorney who thrives in client-focused environments, with the flexibility to work remotely while being available for in-person engagements when necessary. The role involves direct client interaction, litigation strategy, and courtroom advocacy in matters involving complex probate and estate disputes. Duties: Conduct initial and ongoing client consultations to assess legal needs Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, agreements, and court filings Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and contested matters Oversee discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests Argue motions and handle trial preparation and participation as required Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations and arbitrations Manage full litigation caseload involving wills, trusts, and estate disputes Collaborate with internal teams and partners to ensure case efficiency and legal compliance Provide strategic legal guidance aligned with clients’ personal and business goals Requirements: Active license to practice law in the State of California Minimum of 6-16 years post-bar legal experience, including at least 5 years in probate, trusts, and estate litigation Demonstrated capability to manage litigation independently from intake to resolution Strong courtroom advocacy skills with comfort making appearances and arguing motions Solid knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure Commitment to timely communication and client service excellence Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school Certifications: Must hold an active, good-standing California Bar license Skills: Strong drafting and legal writing abilities Effective communicator with the capacity to explain legal concepts to non-lawyers Strategic thinker with sound business and legal judgment Organized and able to manage competing deadlines autonomously Collaborative mindset with a high degree of professional integrity Job Location: Remote-eligible with in-person participation as needed Paid time off and personal leave Company info
