has an immediate need for a senior-level software engineer or data scientist to support research and engineering initiatives related to Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) analysis programs for Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) clients. The engineer/scientist will provide technical guidance and support in assessing new technologies for computer vision and structured observation data processing and management systems. This role involves planning and supporting the transition of new technologies into operational GEOINT analysis systems and working as part of an integrated government/contractor team to support research and engineering initiatives. Responsibilities include: Providing engineering and scientific expertise to GEOINT analysis programs, including data analytics, algorithms, modeling, and rule development to support DoD/IC missions. Defining, planning, coordinating, and guiding technical initiatives such as performance analysis, feasibility studies, and system requirements. Supporting the development and transition of new GEOINT technologies. Assessing and evaluating new computer vision and machine learning technologies. Evaluating new Structured Observation Management (SOM) and Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI) capabilities. Ensuring system-level requirements are established and traceable to operational needs and architecture objectives. Defining milestones and success criteria for project phases and design reviews. Providing technical guidance on architecture, analysis capabilities, and budget planning. Supporting data management practices for GEOINT analysis and production. Desired Experience: Masters degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related STEM field. Expert-level experience in data management or Big Data analysis within government or industry. Experience with Cloud-based solutions. Leadership experience in technology development and system integration efforts. Additional Desired Experience: Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Experience with Big Data, AI, and Cloud technologies. Experience in integrating Geospatial Intelligence systems. Experience with large complex system-of-systems in service-centric or Cloud environments. This position involves work on government sites and with distributed multi-disciplinary teams, requiring excellent communication skills and interaction with government stakeholders at all levels.
