Senior Product Manager- HPC & AI Data Pre-processing Hardware Strategy
to join our team!
Responsibilities
Collaborate with 1st and 3rd party technology providers; understand their portfolios and drive a competitive and executable HPC & AI Data Pre-processing roadmap strategy for Azure hardware infrastructure.
Deep dive into CPU, memory, networking, and infrastructure technologies and trends; perform quantitative comparisons and develop strategic recommendations to differentiate Azure hardware infrastructure.
Conduct roadmap scenario modeling, financial modeling, and market analysis for recommended HPC and AI Data Pre-processing HW platforms, factoring in performance, features, cost, and time-to-market tradeoffs.
Drive internal alignment on the HPC and AI Data Pre-processing hardware technology platform plan of record.
Recommend cross-functional internal and external process improvements to ensure optimized alignment across partner teams.
Create, maintain, and effectively disseminate segment communications to stakeholders.
Successfully lead and manage teams across multiple business functions to achieve shared objectives.
Identify, prioritize, and manage executive stakeholder expectations and engagement.
Articulate and communicate compelling value propositions to both internal and external stakeholders.
Apply domain-specific technical knowledge to deliver results and support team objectives.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
4+ years industry experience in CPU, Memory, or Networking technology development.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (MS or MBA) in a relevant technical or business discipline
Industry experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) or Supercomputing, with a focus on engineering or product management
1+ years of experience in cloud datacenter architecture
Familiarity with key HPC workloads and industry-standard benchmarks
Deep technical expertise in memory and networking technologies, including awareness of emerging trends
Understanding of server architecture, design, and development-particularly in power and performance optimization
Demonstrated customer-centric mindset, with a track record of translating customer requirements into successful product features
Proven experience across product planning, project management, and product management functions
Ability to drive measurable business outcomes through cross-functional collaboration
Background in hardware infrastructure engineering environments
Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships in a matrixed organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to diverse technical and business audiences
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing competing priorities
Experience guiding programs through structured phase-gate development processes
Experience in Product Strategy Development acrossproduct objectives, resources, and shaping operational policies to support long-term strategic goals.
In-depth understanding of product development processes, including key phases, deliverables, and cross-functional roles.
Demonstrated ability to apply domain-specific technical knowledge to deliver results and support team objectives.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
