As a Mainframe Systems Programmer specialized in CICS Support, you will provide exceptional software support and services to our mainframe clients, ensuring their systems run smoothly and efficiently. This role will focus on essential areas to enhance client satisfaction and operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Address customer service requests for mainframe CICS customers promptly, focusing on CICS TS and relevant OEM software products. Act as the primary support for issues related to CICS TS and associated OEM software, offering expert problem-solving skills. Provide around-the-clock support (24/7/365) across multiple time zones. Install OEM software products following best practices and Ensono standards. Assist with customer migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions for new clients. Collaborate with Disaster Recovery Services to execute disaster recovery plans successfully. Manage schedules efficiently to facilitate timely implementations. Follow ITSM change management procedures, including implementing specific corrections and upgrades for applicable z/OS products. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: To thrive in this role, candidates should possess: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Over 5 years of hands-on experience with the zSeries (mainframe) platform, particularly in CICS TS and OEM products. A comprehensive understanding of CICS TS capabilities, including installation and configuration. Strong experience with IBM's SMP/E and analytical skills to optimize client performance. Knowledge of performance monitoring tools to minimize issues and prevent outages. Preferred Skills: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with MF MQ support on zOS is a plus.
