Location: Miami
Sitting within the Operational Services Department, Logistics (including Guest Operations, Language Services, Accommodation, Transport, and Travel) aims to deliver an engaging and accessible World Cup experience for all.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Warehouse, the Manager, Warehouse will support Logistics for the FIFA World Cup 2026, hosting 48 teams and over 1,200 players across 3 countries and 16 venues. This role involves managing Warehouse Logistics operations at various stadiums/venues, ensuring seamless service delivery, and overseeing a team under the guidance of the Head of Logistics and Senior Manager, Warehouse.
Main Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key Logistics representative for FIFA functions and external stakeholders across Canada, Mexico, and the USA.
- Manage Warehouse strategy to align with Logistics service levels and ensure cost-effective storage solutions.
- Oversee planning, implementation, and operational processes for Warehouse Logistics to ensure a seamless supply chain.
- Lead and manage the Warehouse Logistics team, including health and safety, motivation, training, and performance evaluation.
- Develop SOPs, workflow charts, and communication strategies for warehouses.
- Coordinate space requirements and volume metrics for incoming/outgoing FFE and commodities.
- Participate in financial planning, cost analysis, and budget management to meet departmental financial objectives.
- Generate reports and statistics on warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with Material Logistics on procurement schedules and warehouse space planning.
- Coordinate move orders with Venue Logistics, ensuring timely support for venues and functional areas.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Assess Material Handling Equipment needs, oversee training and maintenance schedules.
- Establish perimeter security protocols for warehouses.
- Communicate delivery standards across Logistics.
- Manage receipt, storage, distribution, and recovery of assets and equipment.
- Work with Procurement and Finance on Purchase Orders.
- Support Logistics during tournament time through the Logistics Coordination Center.
- Enforce the Warehouse Logistics budget.
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives and outreach programs.
- Serve as a Logistics contact during travel or in alternative locations.
- Maintain logistics situational reports regularly.
Candidate Profile:
Education & Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years in Warehousing, Major Event Logistics, planning, and delivery.
Skills: Customer service, project management, multitasking, decision-making, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines in multicultural settings.
Languages: Fluent in English; Spanish and/or French is a plus.
Technology: Proficient in MS Office, planning software, and online collaboration tools.
