Job Description
Workcomp360 is hiring an ONSITE Contract Administrator with Aerospace experience. Qualifications and requirements: BS with 5+ years of relevant experience in multi-spectrum environments and roles Skilled at managing informational interactions across multiple departments, from senior management to hourly personnel Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office Knowledge of FAR/DFAR for Defense or Federal contracts Experience with technical (Engineering) and administrative (Contracts) language Experience in writing and submitting Grant Proposals or Experimental Study outlines What a day looks like: Enter emailed quotes into the company's ERP software (Made 2 Manage), defining RFP, RFI, or RFQ as appropriate Evaluate the technical data packet (TDP) for completeness and request additional documents as needed to assemble the quote response Send out bids for quote materials and assemble responses into a cost model (company's format Excel) Work with Engineering to develop preliminary manufacturing plans and estimate labor, assembling into a cost model Present completed cost models to senior management for review Write a compelling and compliant bid response letter (using company's format) to the customer Communicate with customers throughout the bid process Please note: This role is complex and requires direct experience with Engineering, Materials, and administrative skills (Costs/Pricing) to navigate daily tasks successfully. Quotes are assembled manually using Microsoft Office. Assembling a bid requires awareness of competitive pricing strategies, intelligence, and innovative approaches.
