IT Infrastructure Manager
Ensuring high availability of IT infrastructure via service level management. Install, configure, and maintain VMware, Citrix XenApp, SAN, HBAs, Servers, Virtual environment, Management Servers, Datacenter operations. Implement proactive monitoring procedures and scripts. Monitor IT Infra systems to ensure efficient and reliable operations. Defining and maintain information technology standards. Defining procedures for virtualization and disaster recovery. Develop, implement, and perform high availability/recovery procedures. Maintaining physical servers and operations. Troubleshoot all infra issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime. Perform capacity planning and recommend solutions to optimize compute resources. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new solutions. Ensure the security and confidentiality of data. Develop and maintain documentation of IT Infrastructure systems and procedures. Establishes and documents standards and procedures for management review. Mentor and train junior engineers on best practices. Provide guidance and support to other IT teams related to IT Infra. Assist in the evaluation and selection of new compute solutions. Perform testing and validation of new hardware and software solutions. Ensuring that patch monitoring and deployments are performed timely and in accordance with service levels. Participate in change management processes and procedures. Tracking physical assets, including lease and warranty information and service contracts. Overseeing servers, racks, datacenter, compute along with SAN fabric infrastructure hardware and software acquisition, installation, and changes. Ensuring that IT Infrastructure environments are installed and configured according to specifications. Ensuring that networks, remote connections, and virtual environments are properly maintained and available. Providing on-site support to compliment service providers remote management services. Ensuring connected server platforms are running supported versions of OS, device drivers, and HBAs. Ensuring that incident management and upgrades are resolved. Identifying change requests in lieu of performance improvements and cost efficiencies. Overseeing vendors successful monitoring, maintenance, and security compliance of infrastructure. May work from home.
