The IT Analyst's overall responsibility is maintaining the HP UNIX computer system and communication links. Manages resources dedicated to supporting office automation, end-user equipment, systems security, and database administration.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities The IT Analyst provides primary support for the credit union's HP UNIX computer system, including planning, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and system hardware and software. Responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the HP UNIX computer system, wide area communications, database systems, systems security, and access controls. Participates in short and long-range planning to select and utilize appropriate technologies to meet the evolving needs of the credit union and its members. Directs and coordinates testing of new releases and upgrades, organizing and managing the decision process for new enhancements.
Performance Measurements
Maintains FiServ Spectrum system ensuring it is fully functional and online at all times.
Ensures prompt response to and recovery from systems and related production interruptions across multiple hardware platforms and operating systems.
Ensures that HP UNIX system is up-to-date with all known patches and FiServ Spectrum system is updated with current software.
Implements safeguards against security and integrity risks.
Identifies opportunities to improve services through new products and technologies.
Serves on High Performance Teams and supports other HPT efforts.
Knowledge And Skills Experience: At least five years of similar or related experience, including two years of Fiserv/Spectrum back office experience with UC4, Query3k, HPUX, AskPlus, SuprTool, PowerBroker, HPUX System Applications, and FiservReleaxe/VUP.
Education: Bachelor's degree or recognized industry certifications equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., IT certifications).
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate with others inside and outside the organization, resolving conflicts, building relationships, and maintaining confidentiality with diplomacy and tact.
Other Skills
Knowledge of office automation products, word processing, spreadsheets, email, PCs, and peripheral equipment.
Ability to work and travel independently using general office equipment.
