Vibotek LLC We're Hiring: Senior Mainframe Developer Location: Minneapolis, MN / Dallas, TX / Hackensack, NJ / Charlotte, NC Employment Type: Full-Time (W2) Experienced Senior Mainframe Developers to join our fast-paced and forward-thinking team! If you're a COBOL expert with a strong Hogan background and enjoy working in a hybrid environment, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities
Lead the development, deployment, and support of COBOL and Hogan-based mainframe systems. Design and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and related technologies. Collaborate across teams to support new feature development and production stability. Provide mentorship and code reviews to team members. Participate in full life-cycle development, from design through deployment. Balance time between new development and production support for UAT and AAE environments. Requirements
9+ years of experience in Mainframe development. Strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and Hogan. Experience with AS/400, RPG400, RPG III, DEC VAX, HP3000, or SYNON is a plus. Exposure to DevOps practices for mainframe CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred. Solid understanding of database design and system architecture. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Bonus Skills (Preferred, Not Required)
