Job Summary:
We are seeking a well-rounded and motivated ServiceNow Discovery/CMDB Developer to join our dynamic team. As a ServiceNow technical expert, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining ServiceNow discovery and CMDB capabilities and contributing towards transformation of IT Service Delivery while supporting current state. Candidate must have a strong functional and technical understanding of ServiceNow's on-prem and cloud discovery, management of CMDB and Service Management (ITSM). This individual needs to have a solution-driven mindset to best work through the deliverables around the needs of the organization. Excellent communication and documentation skills are extremely important. If you’re passionate about creating efficient workflows, improving user experiences, and solving complex business challenges, this role is for you. This is a key member of ServiceNow Engineering and Services team.
Requirements:
6-8 years of demonstrated technical experience with design, implementation and support of ServiceNow discovery, CMDB and service mapping. Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including creating custom applications, modules and workflows Understanding of ServiceNow data model, tables and relationships Deep functional and technical understanding and implementation experience with ServiceNow ITOM discovery and CMDB Experience deploying and managing ServiceNow discovery on on-prem, AWS and Azure Experience enhancing and/or creating patterns to support custom discovery Experience implementing and managing service mapping Strong knowledge and experience with ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM framework Understanding of Cloud Provisioning, and integration of ServiceNow with AWS and Azure cloud platforms is required Strong understanding of network, infrastructure and application components and their inter-relationships to effectively support discovery and service mapping Knowledge of ServiceNow orchestration for automating IT processes Experience developing ServiceNow APIs, ServiceNow Workflows, Flow Designer, UI Pages, UI Macros, Business Scripts, Client Scripts, UI Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, Script Includes, Security Rules Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Angular.js, Perl, Powershell Good understanding of ITIL Experience implementing REST API integration with third party tools such as Intune, SCCM, Tanium, Qualys, VMWare etc. Ability to create custom reports, dashboards and visualizations Familiarity with ServiceNow Performance Analytics Experience with .Net development and backend SQL Server is preferred Strong problem-solving skills, communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
Serve as the technical subject-matter-expert for ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, CMDB and Service Mapping Design, configure, implement, and maintain ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) Discovery of both On-Premises and Cloud resources (AWS & Azure) Configure and manage ServiceNow ITOM Discovery to ensure complete, accurate and efficient discovery of infrastructure and applications Design, implement and maintain REST API and file-based integrations with external systems (such as Intune, SCCM, Tanium, Qualys, Forescout, Infoblox etc.) to ingest data to enrich CMDB Perform multi-source CMDB reconciliation to improve quality of CMDB data Collaborate with multi-functional teams within IT to troubleshoot and resolve discovery and CMDB issues Document configurations, processes, and procedures related to ITOM Discovery Analyze existing processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement, consolidation, and enhancements Engage in day-to-day operational support, gap remediation and continuous capability improvement Engage in on call support as needed Maintain adequate process, operational documentation and reporting
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

The typical base pay range for this role is between $107K - $133K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
