Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Software Developer, Mids to remotely support our federal customer. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team, while taking part in a multi-year initiative to modernize our federal customer's large-scale IT systems. This role requires at least a Secret Security Clearance, and primary work location is remote. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of work experience, an active Tier 3 Secret clearance, and proficiency in Java Object-Oriented Programming. Experience with Kubernetes and containers, automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications, and cloud-native architectures is also required. Event-driven architectures, streaming (preferred), experience with Apache Kafka, Pub/Sub, streaming experience, event sources, experience running GitOps within version control tools, and familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite for version control management are highly desired. Responsibilities include developing, creating, and modifying general computer applications software or specialized utility programs, analyzing user needs and developing software solutions, designing or customizing software for client use to optimize operational efficiency, analyzing and designing databases within an application area, researching, designing, developing, and testing operating systems-level software, setting operational specifications and formulating and analyzing software requirements, designing embedded systems software, and applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. High-level objectives include migrating all current-system functionality from the mainframes and operating within a cloud-based environment (AWS GovCloud), incorporating modern name search capabilities, expanding image handling to accept larger files and support additional file formats, transitioning investigative search to Elasticsearch, building new services to follow a microservices architecture and run within containers using the OpenShift platform, transitioning database functionality from IBM DB2 to the appropriate cloud data store, and updating NIEM schemas and IEPDs to allow agencies to use updated functionality and speed up the dot-delimited message format retirement.
