Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electro Mechanical Software Engineer to join our team at AW-Lake Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and improving existing equipment, processes and software while playing a key role in driving better productivity and cost effectiveness across the organization. This candidate will be identifying and implementing changes to improve employee, facility and system performance while maintaining or improving safety, quality and customer service.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Design, Evaluate and Improve test systems and equipment utilized in Production and R&D
- Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify those needing improvement
- Work with production management to coordinate services and maintenance
- Identify areas for improved quality control to reduce waste
- Improve the efficiency of each production process
- Evaluate employees’ tasks and responsibilities, identifying procedures or tools to improve productivity
- Understand machine layout and equipment capabilities
- Analyze current software capabilities to identify areas for improvement
- Responsible for enhancing and developing Standardized Operating Procedures and training
- Train other employees on new SOPs and training
- Improve and develop Base and Level training
- Utilize AutoCAD software to design layout, workflow and material handling processes
- Communicate with management and other personnel to develop production and design standards
- All other related duties as required.
- Proficiency in both basic and advanced calculations to determine the current and potential productivity of a process. The ability to use calculus, trigonometry, algebra and other types of math is important in this position
- Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
- Analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn Software Languages; Python, Labview, C#
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 Years Work Experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
