As a Software Development Engineer within AFT, you will collaborate with a talented team of engineers to enhance our technology, maintain and improve software solutions, and build metrics to deliver exceptional results. Your work will directly contribute to the automation of customer support, anticipating and resolving inquiries through advanced automated assistance. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate on development projects across Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software. Enhance and update existing software solutions. Automate support processes and document system functionalities. Manage operational cadence and programs at the AFT organization level. Diagnose and resolve production software issues while developing monitoring solutions. Perform software maintenance and implement fixes for internally developed code in languages such as Perl, C/C++, and Java. Execute and optimize persistence solution queries, tracking and resolving technical challenges. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills. You must effectively manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Identifying potential problems before they arise and implementing preventative measures is crucial. Prioritization of projects and sound decision-making to enhance the customer experience will be essential. A Day in the Life:

Qualifications: 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship). 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling. Proficiency in at least one programming language. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
