$160,000 - $180,000 (on target earnings) The Opportunity As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will lead on Kargo's full-stack Ad Tech team, solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate across teams to deliver innovative solutions that benefit advertisers, publishers, and users. We focus on building sustainable, reusable, and scalable codebases in an agile environment, emphasizing doing it right the first time. We seek self-starters and eager learners who will grow with us. You will work alongside Engineering, Product, and Design teams to develop clean code, brainstorm solutions, mentor junior developers, and shape technical directions. The Daily To-Do Write clean and effective code as a seasoned software engineer. Choose appropriate frameworks and tools for different problems. Understand and communicate software design patterns and best practices. Work on both front-end and back-end development. Utilize expert JavaScript and CSS skills to solve complex problems creatively. Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of full-stack applications. Build and maintain scalable APIs, backend services, and user interfaces. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement requirements. Fix bugs and deploy features in a collaborative environment. Own multiple code bases, ensuring architecture and quality standards. Optimize application performance for scalability and reliability. Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance. Investigate new technologies, prototype solutions, and validate designs for production. Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Qualifications B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of full-stack software development experience. Strong portfolio (e.g., GitHub) demonstrating previous work. Proficiency in React or Angular. Expertise in JavaScript and CSS. Knowledge of SDLC, QA, and deployment processes. Experience with microservices architecture. Proficiency with DevOps tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience reviewing code and mentoring developers. Understanding of mobile device capabilities and cross-platform development. Ability to take ideas from concept to production, including architecture, development, and testing. Good design sense and a preference for simplicity. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts.
