Software Engineering Development Lead

MAG Aerospace . MAG Aerospace is seeking a skilled Software Engineering Development Lead to support the U.S. Army Electronic Warfare & Cyber Program in Hanover, MD. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the newly established PM Cyber & Space division and participate in the expanding Cyber Infrastructure Product Office. The position involves overseeing essential functions in offensive cyber operations, managing capability development, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Collaborate with system users, requirements owners, and contractors to translate operational requirements into software requirements, designs, and implementations. Plan, coordinate, schedule, and direct engineering and technical support activities related to software development and integration. Develop and execute software and system test strategies. Review and assess contractor software code for compliance with standards. Participate in government oversight of contractor activities, including agile development activities. Develop software acceptance criteria and provide recommendations on development and testing processes. Provide multi-disciplinary solutions for technical problems. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Experience leading large teams (e.g., overseeing at least two agile teams). Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams. Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). Experience with DevOps tools (Jira, Confluence, Git). Familiarity with DoD 5000 acquisition lifecycle. Experience with CI/CD processes. Knowledge of Unix-based and Windows OS. Familiarity with APIs, Ansible Playbooks, Python, and Java. Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering high-level briefings. Clearance
Active TS with SCI eligibility; ability to attain TS/SCI clearance. Experience
10+ years in software development. 3+ years managing software teams. 3+ years in cyber or C4ISR systems. Education
Master’s Degree in Engineering or IT discipline, or equivalent experience. Other Qualifications
Ability to work in office, field, and lab environments. Willingness to travel up to 25% within CONUS. Benefits and Compensation
