Software Engineer - Data
This role offers a unique opportunity to work across engineering, data science, and security research. You will be part of a visible, agile team working on critical areas impacting the company's success. The ideal candidate will: Have a blend of engineering and data analysis skills. Be curious about heterogeneous, semi-structured data. Learn and apply cybersecurity concepts rapidly. What You'll Do
Build data abstractions and transformations central to our product. Write high-quality production code. Develop and maintain batch and real-time analytical pipelines for ML threat detection models. What’s In It For You
Work on innovative data products solving complex problems, with experienced founders. Be a key member of our engineering and data teams. Engage with critical data analytics powering our product. Gain expertise in data engineering and cloud technologies. Required Skills/Experience
Passion for solving complex data problems. Strong algorithmic skills. Experience with data processing systems. Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with dbt, Spark, or DuckDB is a plus. BSc/MS in Computer Science or a related field. 1-2 years of industry experience in building data products. This is a hybrid position based in Obsidian's Newport Beach, CA office. Pay Transparency: The base salary range is $120,000 - $162,000 USD, with variations based on location, skills, and experience. The role includes equity, potential incentives, and benefits.
