Software Engineering Intern Game Engineering Cedar Falls, IA Intern Part-time DESCRIPTION The Software Engineering Intern works with a Software Engineering leader to facilitate the technical implementation of code and content for SciPlay. They may utilize C#,Unity, Git and Jenkins to make this happen. They will work with QA and Artist to facilitate the validation of the work they create. The Software Engineering Intern will have to coordinate with other engineers to understand and improve the features, systems, and tools we use to operate our game. This individual must be detail oriented, have experience with writing code and handling data, and flexible with hours as our game is live 24/7. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure you and your teammates have a shared understanding of your work Write code to accomplish specified task in the user story Collaborate with other engineers to get your code reviewed Collaborate with the QA team to ensure your work is thoroughly tested REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or working towards) Work Experience Software development Quality assurance Relevant coursework Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong technical knowledge of C# and troubleshooting code Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent collaboration/communication skills (verbal, written, listening and presentation) Meet quick deadlines and deliver precise, effective results in a fast-paced work environment Efficiently regulate and prioritize tasks Experience with project management software (Jira, Rally) Software development experience Understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycle We are SciPlay!
